This world is so full of hustle and bustle....... of noise...... of distraction.
Have you noticed?
The technology and the ravaging of space and the constant speed at which we live.... it's so draining. It seems we never stop! Most of us walk out the door of our homes on Monday morning already looking forward to Friday which leads to a half lived life through the rest of the week.
Then we often fill our weekends with so much 'living' that we forget to actually live!
Trips and parties and friends and spending and go, go, go....... we actually forget to truly live!

I’ve often thought there was a great treason at play.

A mythical teaching or belief we have all bought in to.

You know, the kind of stories we're told as children then later come to the discovery that those stories were just that..... stories?

I’ve often thought this great treason was a treason of some sort of honesty, or lack thereof.

I wasn’t altogether wrong. I also wasn’t totally right either. After all, there is another treason at hand.

We all have this other side. The side of our personalities that becomes our frustration. Maybe it’s anger or doubt or fear or turning away or running from or hiding or arrogance or negativity or denial. Regardless of the label, we all have this other side.

How do we respond when this other part of us rises to the surface? When we allow those characteristics of destruction take over? How do we defend our best self? How do we defend those around us? How do we cope with the struggle of allowing the light to over shadow the darkness?
